April Update

Martha Smith has worked with the PALs in each of the health sciences programs to expand the training to the entire faculty.  She has gone into the classrooms and the clinics to learn about the criteria and demands of each program and created custom training to fit the needs of the faculty and students.  Her "Day in the Life of…" curriculum has offered faculty members a new way to look at how to teach diverse learners most effectively by following students through the rigors of their day in each setting.

Joanne Harris, the PAL at the Cascade Camput, has organized two training events for the health sciences faculty there. Mickey Nearhood, the PAL for the dental programs has brought a number of training opportunities to the faculty including a "A Day in the Life of..." and a Brown Bag Lunch discussion. Juanita Joy, the PAL in the nursing program has brought together the nursing faculty for a "A Day in the Life of..." training.
